The Dish is a 2000 Australian historical comedy-drama film that tells the story of the Parkes Observatory’s role in relaying live television of humanity’s first steps on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. It was the top-grossing Australian film in 2000.

The inaugural Space Brains SciFi Film Festival, an international science fiction film festival, will take place during May 2022 in the beautiful coastal town of Mandurah, Western Australia.

 

The Space Brains SciFi Film Festival is a competition for independent science fiction filmmakers to highlight their films and talents. The festival draws particular focus on the work of regional Western Australian filmmakers to help give them a platform to speak about their projects.
